Starring Margot Robbie as the titular doll and Ryan Gosling as Ken, Barbie was not only the biggest blockbuster of the summer, but it also became the highest-grossing movie of the year, the highest-grossing film ever directed by a woman, and the highest-grossing film ever released by Warner Bros. Yes, the same studio that gave us all of the Batman movies, all of the Harry Potter movies, and all of the Lord of the Rings movies.

Co-written and directed by Oscar-nominated filmmaker Greta Gerwig with fellow Academy Award nominee Noah Baumbach, Barbie has garnered acclaim particularly for its fish-out-of-water comedy, its vibrant visuals, and its star-studded cast. If you somehow missed it in theaters, you can also watch it at home.
