Country star partners with Bud Light for this year’s Backyard Tour, kicking off February 9 at the Cosmopolitan

Zach Bryan will take part in the pre-Super Bowl festivities in February 2024 as the headlining artist of the Bud Light Backyard Tour.

The partnership will open up Friday Feb. 9 at Las Vegas’ The Cosmopolitan, two days before Super Bowl LVIII at the city’s Allegiant Stadium.

Like previous Bud Light-branded gigs — including Lady Gaga’s “dive bar tour” and a similar Post Malone team-up — the concert will offer a small number of (drinking-age) Bryan fans to see the country superstar at an intimate venue for a low ($20) price.

As part of the partnership, Bryan — a U.S. Navy veteran — and Bud Light will also work with Folds of Honor, a nonprofit organization that provides educational scholarships to the families of fallen and disabled service members and first responders.

“I’ve been drinking Bud Light since I was old enough to drink and partnering with them now after all the songs I’ve written while swigging them is full circle for me,” Bryan said in a statement.

“When Bud Light asked if I would be involved, I didn’t hesitate after I learned the immense amount of support going into Folds of Honor, fallen service members, first responders’ families and loved ones. It is a privilege and honor to provide help in any way to veterans and all the people who make this country as great as it can possibly be.”

Future Bud Light Backyard Tour dates have not yet been announced. The trek is separate from Bryan’s own The Quittin’ Time Tour, which hits arenas nationwide starting in March 2024.

The Bud Light partnership also comes at a time where the brand is perhaps hoping to reconnect with the country music community following a transphobic, right wing-fueled boycott of the beer after Anheuser-Busch partnered with trans actor and activist Dylan Mulvaney.

Travis Tritt and Kid Rock were among the musicians who boycotted the “woke” beer soon after, with Tritt banning the beer from his “tour hospitality rider” and Rock firing his MP5 submachine gun at a display of Bud Light 12-packs.

In the wake of that controversy, Bryan actually came to the defense of Mulvaney and Bud Light, stating that he has “family transitioning” and that he has “blood to defend here.”
