The upcoming Xbox Games Showcase will reportedly run for two hours and feature 30 games, including a number of unannounced titles.

Appearing on the Kinda Funny Gamecast, games journalist Jeff Grubb revealed he had heard details about the Xbox Games Showcase, which is due to take place this weekend.

“I’m not going to spoil anything, but the numbers I’m hearing is about two hours and about 30 games, and at least a handful of those are games that we’ve never heard of before,” he said (via Resetera).

Grubb went on to say five new games will be revealed from across a number of different Microsoft-owned studios. “Tune in for a first look at new games from Xbox Game Studios, leading creators and partners from around the globe,” read an announcement from Microsoft.

The Xbox Games Showcase will air Sunday June 9, 2024 at 6pm BST and will be livestreamed online. It’ll be the first Games Showcase featuring titles from Microsoft’s newly-acquired Activision Blizzard studios.

There are currently rumours that details about new Doom and Gears Of War titles will be revealed at the event, alongside information on Indiana Jones And The Great Circle, Starfield’s Shattered Space expansion, and Microsoft Flight Simulator. Forbes has also reported that “new hardware” will be unveiled at the event, with some fans convinced this will be a handheld Xbox console.

Microsoft has also confirmed that Call Of Duty: Black Ops 6 will be released on Xbox Game Pass on day one.

In other news, Square Enix has made both Octopath Traveler games available for all consoles, PC and Xbox Game Pass after they were locked behind console-exclusive windows.
