Some of us are still in shock that Elon Musk decided to rename Twitter to X, but it’s true. After changing the app icon and putting up a glowing sign (that’s been taken down), he is now looking to do away with anything reminiscent of the bird. According to The Verge, he’s auctioning off a ton of Twitter-branded items, and some items are outrageous.

What’s also notable about this auction is the starting price. It’s extremely accessible. The starting bid is only $25! So, if little to no people oppose your bid, you could walk out of the auction with items for a fraction of their price, and some of these items are rather pricey.

X is auctioning off a ton of Twitter-branded items

So, the items on this list can get pretty outlandish, but we’ll start off with the more mundane items. So, the point of this auction is to get rid of anything tying X to Twitter, and most of the items will bear the bird.

The auction is selling a bird-shaped coffee table that actually looks really nice. There is also a bulletin board with a bird-shaped cutout, a small Twitter sign, and various light-up Twitter and “@” signs.

Props

Nothing out of the ordinary there, but we’re just getting started. The company is also auctioning off some large “#” and “@” props. They vary in size, but some of them look to be at least eight feet in height. Others can be hung in your room; just make sure that you have a big wall. One image shows a prop that lights up (good luck replacing all of those bulbs when they go out) and another one shows a “#” prop with plants growing out of it.

Pictures

Next up, we have some random pictures. One of them is a tribute to the late Robin Williams. It’s a mosaic comprised of celebrity tweets dedicated to him. Next, we have a painting of former US President Obama hugging his wife after his re-election. Lastly, there’s a random painting of Elen DeGeneres’s 2014 Oscar selfie.

Google Jamboards

Moving up the ladder, we have a bunch (some of them not even used!) of Google Jamboards. These are interactive whiteboards that you see in board meetings. The bidding starts at $25, but these babies sell for around $,5000 each. So, if no one opposes your bid, then you’ll pick one up for 99.5% off.

Barn and a birdcage

Now, let’s get crazy. If you’re adventurous enough, you can pick up a giant birdcage swing. It’s big enough to seat about three people. If that’s not your thing, the company is also selling a mini barn that was repurposed into an office. How about a 34-foot agamograph (basically an image that changes based on where you’re standing)? It will show the text “What’s happening”.

Building signs

At the top of this looney ladder, we have literal building signs. Yes, the signs that are currently built into the building, those are being auctioned off. Yes, the bidding starts at $25. The catch with these signs is that you’re responsible for finding a licensed company to take that down for you. All of that falls on your wallet, and that will definitely cost you more than $25.

If you’re thinking of placing a bid, it begins on September 12th and ends on September 14th.
