WhatsApp is a great platform to use, but honestly, it’s been a bit of a struggle. For as many features as it has, there are still some basic features that deal with account management that it’s been lacking for years. Now, WhatsApp is working on giving us the ability to use multiple accounts on the same device.

WhatsApp has a lot of features, and it’s a compelling messaging app. However, there are just some features that other messaging apps have had for years that WhatsApp lacks. These deal with account accessibility.

It’s been a huge fight getting the app to allow people to use the same account on multiple devices. This is something that other messaging apps can do flawlessly. Also, we’ve been waiting for the opposite, the ability to use multiple accounts on one device.

Well, WhatsApp is working on letting us use multiple accounts on one device

WhatsApp has made great strides with its account management, and one sought-after feature is coming. According to WABInfo, this feature is still under development. In fact, we shouldn’t expect it for a while, as it hasn’t even been released for beta testers.

When it does release, we expected it to be pretty self-explanatory. You’ll be able to log into multiple WhatsApp accounts on a single device. Then, just like with Facebook or Instagram, you’ll be able to quickly switch between them.

This is a great feature to have if you have multiple WhatsApp accounts. Maybe you have an account for business and an account that you use to associate with friends. You’ll be able to quickly and easily switch between the accounts.

The screenshot below shows how the menu will possibly look. Just know that, since this is still under development, the feature may look different with the final release. Also, we are not 100% sure that this feature will come at all (fingers crossed).

One important thing to note is that WABInfo was able to confirm that this feature will not be exclusive to Business users. So, we expect this feature to be available for all users both free and paid. At the moment, we have no idea when or if this feature will come out.
