Dame Judi Dench and Texas‘s Sharleen Spiteri gave resort company in Scotland a shock rendition of ABBA‘s ‘Waterloo’ to mark New 12 months’s Eve.
Whereas celebrating hogmanay on the Fife Arms in Braemar, Aberdeenshire, the pair gave an impromptu rendition of the hit on the resort foyer’s piano.
Sharing a piano stool, Spiteri took on lead vocals, with Dench on piano. Throughout the efficiency, Spiteri exclaimed of her associate: “What a pianist!”
The video was filmed by resort proprietor Ewan Venters, who instructed BBC Scotland: “Judi Dench and Sharleen Spiteri have been staying on the resort and we had an impromptu second on the piano.
“It was a contented night with a lot of company and locals clapping.”
He added to PA that the pair “had met beforehand however after dinner they met within the foyer and took to the piano. Visitors have been considerably shocked however liked it!
“Two legends – a Scottish musician, Sharleen Spiteri – and Dame Judi who, though born within the metropolis of York, is an honorary Scot, for not least enjoying Queen Victoria on so many events. Mrs Brown was again on Royal Deeside!”

In much less hospitable behaviour, Judi Dench not too long ago recalled an incident during which she shouted “wanker” at a complete stranger.
