The singer opened the awards ceremony with her performance on Saturday
Dua Lipa took the stage at the 2024 BRIT Awards to open the ceremony with a performance of “Training Season.” Last month, the singer also launched the Grammy Awards with a medley that included the song, alongside “Dance the Night” and “Houdini.”
Backed by dancers and dressed in a cropped leather jacket and shorts, the singer delivered her song about looking for a romantic partner that gets it “’Cause training season’s over.” She strutted the catwalk as she sang and she and the dancers hit their marks on the upbeat choreography, which also included some of the dancers descending from above to perform some acrobatic moves. Towards the end of the exhilarating set, Dua Lipa was lifted into the air by a couple of the acrobats, before she landed back onstage to close out the song.
Lipa is nominated for Artist of The Year, and Song of the Year for “Dance the Night,” and she took home the Pop Act award early in the night. Other performers booked for the event include Raye and Kylie Minogue, who will close the night.

Lipa is in the midst of rolling out her third album. She dropped the single “Houdini” in November and has teased its follow-up “Training Season,” which arrived in February following her previewing it at the Grammys.
“This record feels a bit more raw,” she told Rolling Stone about what to expect with this new album. “I want to capture the essence of youth and freedom and having fun and just letting things happen, whether it’s good or bad.”
