The pop superstar introduced the clip for her upcoming film during a pretaped segment of the Macy’s holiday parade

Set a place at the table for the Queen. Beyoncé delivered a surprise, albeit pretaped, message during NBC’s coverage of the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, gracing fans with a message of gratitude and a new trailer for her upcoming Renaissance concert movie.

“Hey, it’s Beyoncé, wishing you and your family a very happy Thanksgiving,” she said, looking regal in a studded black leather jacket. “I’m so honored to share with you the first look at the new Renaissance film trailer.”

The clip opens with Beyoncé declaring, “I have nothing to prove to anyone at this point,” before a montage of live performance clips from her Renaissance World Tour and backstage footage flashes by. “We are creating our own world,” she says later. “This is my reward. Nobody can take that away from me.”

This teaser trailer follows a lengthier one that premiered earlier this month, in which she talked about balancing motherhood and being onstage in a “very male-dominated” world. The singer first announced the documentary following her final show of the Renaissance tour in Kansas City, Missouri, in October. The film is expeted to premiere in theater in December.

Beyoncé wasn’t the only global icon appearing at the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. Cher, live and in the flesh, teed up Santa’s appearance at the 97th annual holiday tradition with a performance of her holiday song “DJ Play a Christmas Song.”
