Threads now allows its users to switch accounts by long-pressing on the profile picture. The feature is rolling out for both Android and iOS users.

Since its launch in early July, Threads is gradually getting new features to hang in the same crowd as rivals, especially X (formerly Twitter). The Meta-owned app now has a web version, allows users to mention others, and more is yet to come. The latest addition to the app is the ability to switch between multiple Threads profiles on mobile.

If you’ve already used to the account-switching option on Instagram, the feature on Threads looks pretty similar. You need to long-press the profile picture, and then you’ll have a list of your accounts signed in. Tap on the account you want and enter it.

Account switching feature is coming to the Threads app for Android and iOS

Instagram supports up to five accounts signed simultaneously. It remains to be seen how many accounts Threads allows. By the way, the account-switching feature is an excellent addition for social media influencers and managers who handle multiple accounts at the same time.

The feature is rolling out to Android and iOS users. Ensure your app is updated to the latest version to access the account-switching feature.

Another new feature that’s coming to Threads is the edit button. We already reported that Meta is spotted testing the feature, but its release date is unknown. The edit option on Threads gives you a five-minute window to edit your content after publishing. Meanwhile, the timeframe for editing tweets on X is one hour.

In all fairness, Meta has done a great job adding new features to its novice app. Threads isn’t a perfect app yet, but it strives to improve. The app is currently dealing with plummeting daily active users, which reduced to only 10.3 million daily active Android users in early August. Back in July, Threads had a record-breaking 49.3 million daily active users.
