The “first cannabis-friendly hotel in Las Vegas” has officially opened.

The former Artisan Hotel Boutique is now home to The Lexi Las Vegas, which has completely transformed its guest experience. A level specifically dedicated to “420-friendly” rooms was added to the hotel when it first opened on June 2.

A hotel representative explained that the resort abides by Nevada law. This for individuals who can be frustrated because they won’t be able smoke marijuana in all areas of the hotel.

“We are not in the cannabis business; we are simply cannabis-friendly tourism,” said one hotel official.

Under Nevada law, marijuana may be consumed in a private residence or in a business that holds a cannabis license. The Lexi does not have such a license.

The Lexi has 64 rooms, all with finishes that reduce the effects of marijuana smoke. The resort also has a newly renovated pool area, a steakhouse and a range of non-cannabis activities such as wine and tequila tastings.
