There are a lot of gamers in the UK, but where do they go? A study has just revealed the top most-visited gaming sites in 2023.

PC gamers took the top spot, with Steam racking up over 48 million visits from UK gamers in 2023, according to a study done by SEO agency Digital Climax. Steam has a storefront where players can access many PC games. It’s rivalled by the Epic Games Store and GOG, but neither of those sites even broke the top five.

Second was PlayStation, proving that the console wars, in the UK at least, are currently being won by Sony. The PlayStation website garnered over 25 million views in 2023. With huge exclusives such as Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, it’s no wonder it did so well.

Taking the bronze medal was Twitch, the streaming platform where people can watch others play games, chat, react to videos, and vlog about their daily lives. Twitch got more than 24 million visits from the UK in 2023, and it recently banned a new meta where streamers where screening gameplay on their bums.

Xbox failed to make the podium, but came in a respectable fourth, two places behind its console rival PlayStation. At least it beat Nintendo. Xbox achieved over 19 million views in 2023, and had some heavy-hitters like Starfield and Hi-Fi Rush to help it get there. If ou don’t own an Xbox and never gave it a go, Hi-Fi Rush is now available on other platforms.

In fifth place was IGN with just under 19 million views. One of the most well-recognised gaming sites in the world, it provides news, guides, and reviews. The top ten was finished off with Discord, EA, Epic Games, Game Rant, and Eurogamer.

In other news, Stardew Valley fans have a new queer anthem.
