n essential aspect of dressing up is feeling confident enough to know when to lose an accessory or make an addition to any coordination. It’s also a form of art to tweak an outfit to suit your preference, mood, and occasion. Stylish Black celebs and socialites seem to have mastered the art with an array of gorgeous ensembles swaying all through last week to cement this fact. For instance, the Real Housewives of Atlanta reunion saw reality stars hold up the ball on style and drama. From asymmetric feathered-hem frocks to embellished bodycon, everyone brought finesse to the table without apologies.
The Looks
Sheer has refused to take a bow even after holding all our wardrobes in a choke hold for years. Even Queen Bey caught the sheer bug and isn’t ready to be treated. Beyoncé performed on stage in an all-white Alon Livne sheer coordination featuring a sheer bodysuit with rosette details and a voluminous train. The rosette details on the bust and illusion underwear prints were an intricate addition to the sweet outfit. There’s no doubt that the Reinassance tour has also served as a fashion show with Beyoncé strutting the stage as she would a runway.
Bright colors have been in active service for as long as time, and are still relevant in today’s minimal-themed fashion space. Last week, Marlo Hampton adopted this timeless trend and chose to show out in a bold blue dress. She wore a Georges Hobeika Haute Couture feathered number to The Real Housewives of Atlanta reunion. The messy bun and metallic Guiseppe Zanotti heels beefed up the self-sufficient look.
There’s always room for an elegant formal dress. Actress Mindy Kaling was spotted effortlessly rocking a strapless floral Oscar De la Renta number at the Lion Pose launch in LA. As soothing as a day relaxing in a garden, so does this floral print dress exude a calming aura. The brand labels such tropical ensembles as botanical escapism and it’s easy to see how it all comes together.
