he past week was a delightful moment for celebrities and their glam team. With awards shows and premieres decorating the week, we saw an ample turnout of couture and fresh off the prêt-à-porter-runway takes. In Los Angeles, the 30th annual star-studded SAG Awards called out to celebs and they responded in their very best, while Zendaya and Law Roach kept the fashion temps blazing hot in New York City with on-theme outfits for the Dune Part 2 premiere. Although splattered across different locations, the uniting thread among these appearances was the insatiable appetite for appealing fashion.
The Looks
Zendaya wore a Stephane Rolland SS24 couture dress for another leg of the Dune part 2 premiere, this time in New York City. The off-white number flaunted a vertical cut-out at the chest, which merged with a horizontal cut on the belly button area, and then separated into vertical lines on each hip. The hem was adorned with gold embellishments, complementing her sway during movement.
Ciara wore a latex Corinne Franco form-fitting dress to the SAG Awards, alongside her husband Russel Wilson. The corset snatched her form, while the draping accentuated her hips. The singer elevated this with matching pumps and voluminous curls that did their best to turn heads. The same can be said for Yvonne Orji who attended the Tokyo James show at Milan Fashion Week with a contemporary remake of the iconic Grace Jones style. Her haircut, gold-trimmed sunglasses, textured oversized suit, and gold shoes were an eclectic bundle of fun.
Danielle Brooks dressed up in an unconventional Christian Siriano fit for the SAG Awards. A masterful blend of feminine and masculine elements, the ombré half-suit-half-tulle-dress boasted a tiered bulky tutu, inspired by her movie The Color Purple. Indulgence is good, especially on the red carpet.
