'RHONJ' star Teresa Giudice spoke of not being able to choose one's family on her podcast and encouraged listeners to cut people out.

Teresa Giudice may not have named Joe and Melissa Gorga on the latest episode of her podcast, but she sure seemed to be thinking of them when she spoke about family and cutting people out.

While also discussing the graduation party she recently threw for her daughters, Gia Giudice, 22, who graduated from college, and Gabriella Giudice, 18, who graduated from high school, and explaining why she will miss parent weekend at Gabriella’s college, the Real Housewives of New Jersey star seemingly shaded the Gorgas and gushed over the relationship she has with her ex-husband Joe Giudice‘s family.

“With Pete… he’s like my best friend,” Teresa told her co-host Melissa Pfeister on the July 19 episode of Namaste B$tches. “I grew up with him.”

According to Teresa, she ran into Pete, her ex’s brother, at Gia’s college graduation and Gabriella’s high school graduation, where she described their interaction with one another as “easy.”

“It’s like we picked up right where we left off, which is awesome, same thing with his wife, Sheila,” she shared. “And now Luis and Pete talk all the time.”

“[Joe Giudice] welcomes this. Joe’s family is an amazing family. They’re all about family. They would never hurt each other in any way, no matter how much money somebody offered them, they would never hurt each other. That’s not how Joe’s family rolls,” Teresa continued, seemingly giving a nod to her messy feud with Joe and Melissa, who she’s accused of joining RHONJ behind her back.

“It’s been great. The kids are so happy,” she added.

As for why she won’t be attending parents’ weekend at the University of Michigan, Teresa revealed it is the same weekend as BravoCon.

“I’m not going there. I was gonna go because I felt bad but I said to Gabriella, ‘Because it’s BravoCon weekend… I have to work,’” she explained. “It would’ve been a lot for me to be in Vegas then fly to Michigan then back to Vegas… So I’ll go another weekend.”

Looking back at her kids’ graduation parties, Teresa said she and her guests “had the best time ever.”

“I never had so much fun,” she revealed. “We rented these tents [two days before the party]. Our backyard is so gorgeous. It looks like a resort… I had the most fun. It rained on and off [but] we had the best time ever. We just danced… We ended up dancing the night away… I was ready to start dancing in the rain, that’s how much fun I was having.”

Although she didn’t invite adults because she wanted the bash to be “all about [Gia and Gabriella],” Teresa confirmed her RHONJ co-star Dolores Catania and her boyfriend, Paul Connell, were invited. However, they didn’t ultimately attend the event.

“We asked Dolores and Paul to come cuz she’s so generous. She ended up getting gifts for the girls. And Luis had just invited them to come hang out with us. But um I guess maybe, I don’t know what ended up happening, [but] they didn’t come,” she noted.

Also, on the episode, Teresa further spoke of family after listening to what her co-host was dealing with amongst her own relatives.

“You can’t pick your family but you can pick your friends. Sometimes your family is not happy for you so that’s why you need to X those people out,” she told Melissa. “And the thing is, you don’t even need people to be happy for you. You should be happy for yourself and people that love you and that are in your life will be happy for you and you’ll see that on your own.”

Teresa then said that if someone doesn’t “make you feel good,” they should be cut.

“Take it out of your life and you will see, things will get better,” she added.

The Real Housewives of New Jersey season 14 is expected to begin filming sometime in August.
