Jackie Goldschneider believes Teresa Giudice is doing far more to damage her daughters’ relationships with their Gorga cousins than repair them.
As the Real Housewives of New Jersey star took aim at her castmate, noting that Melissa Gorga has taken a far different approach with her own kids when it comes to their family feud, Jackie also opened up about her estrangement from her sister, Felicia Damato, while discussing Danielle Cabral‘s drama with her brother Thomas DiPetro.
“My sister and I, it’s not like we were close when we were younger, and then we broke apart. Never. So like, I felt very bad when I saw Danielle’s father crying,” Jackie admitted on the June 6 episode of the RHONJ: After Show. “He looks like my father. It’s so crazy… and when I saw him crying, it’s like the same thing, my dad’s turning 80. He said all he wanted for his 80th birthday was to have all his kids and grandkids in one room cuz that never happens.”
According to Jackie, she made attempts to make amends with Felicia until about three years ago.
“She had a million gripes against me,” Jackie explained. “Even though we’ve never had a relationship, everything I’ve ever done in my life she wanted me to apologize for, and there were a few things she wanted my husband to apologize for, too.”
Although Jackie and Evan Goldschneider were initially against the idea, they had a change of heart, and Jackie decided to reach out to Felicia.
“One day, I said, ‘Listen, just so we can move forward with this family, will you apologize to my sister? Even though there’s nothing.. Give a big blanket I’m sorry.’ And he was like, ‘I don’t f-cking care. Yes. Whatever you want me to do,’” Jackie revealed. “Evan is the best, so I texted her and I said, ‘Listen, Evan will apologize for whatever you want him to apologize for.’ And she said, ’No, he has to show up to my door and do it in person.’ And I said, ‘You know what? I’m good.’ And that’s when I said, ’Never again.’”
Luckily, however, unlike the Giudices and the Gorgas, Jackie, and Felicia’s kids “are close.”
“The kid thing with Teresa and Joe is, to me, just tragic,” Jennifer Fessler said of their current status. “We watched them, specifically [Milania Giudice] and [Antonia Gorga], they were so close when they were little.”
As for Jackie, she made it clear that she does not feel that Melissa is at fault when it comes to the tension between the cousins.
“Teresa may not like this, but when they’re talking about each other, Melissa and Teresa, Melissa sends her kids out of the room, and Teresa brings her kids into the room,” Jackie noted. “So… the rift with the kids, it’s manmade.”
The Real Housewives of New Jersey season 13 reunion concludes next Tuesday, June 13, with part three at 8/7c on Bravo.
