Stussy and Birkenstock are teaming up again, and this time they’ve created a new pair of sandals called the Solana. It’s inspired by Birkenstock’s classic one-strap Kyoto style but with a fresh twist.

It’s an offbeat move for Stüssy to not deliver yet another Boston, the clog silhouette that streetwear heads and menswear enthusiasts breathlessly embraced in recent years. But the Solana has proven to be a much-needed refresher in the world of footwear. This slip-on shoe is their third collaboration and features Birkenstock’s cork footbed, a large suede upper with shearling lining, and a hook-and-loop fastener. You can get it in three colors: Bone, Caramel, and Washed Green, each with Stussy branding.

This collaboration follows their previous releases — the Boston clogs of 2021 and 2020, with variations like corduroy and smooth suede in different colors.

Stussy has been busy with collaborations, including with Clarks Originals and Tekla, while Birkenstock has expanded its collaborations with Tekla, Beams, and Dior. This latest offering from the duo comes as Birkenstock recently became a publicly traded company on the New York Stock Exchange.

The shoe is made for both indoor and outdoor wear, according to the brands. The accompanying campaign visuals shared to Instagram on Tuesday, see a slew of models sporting the sandals at a beach bonfire. The new Stussy x Birkenstock Solana sandals became available worldwide on November 24 in select stores and online, with an additional release on November 27 through 1774.
