STAYC have returned with their new mini-album ‘Teenfresh’ and a music video for its lead single ‘Bubble’.
On August 16, the K-pop girl group unveiled the music video for their new single ‘Bubble’. The song is the title track of their third mini-album ‘Teenfresh’, which was released at the same time.
The new visual features STAYC as students living at a school dormitory as their headmistress, played by South Korean comedian and television host Hong Jin-kyung, tries to keep them from sneaking out.
“What we want is circles / No one knows the future, nobody knows / What should I do, I can’t be / Things are unpredictable, stupid, stop / Naggings are bubble, bubble, bubble,” they sing on the chorus.
In addition to ‘Bubble’ the new record includes the B-sides ‘Not Like You’, ‘I Wanna Do’ and ‘Be Mine’, as well as English and sped-up versions of ‘Bubble’.
‘Teenfresh”s release marks the K-pop girl group’s second comeback of 2023, following their February single album ‘Teddy Bear’. That project featured a Korean-language version of their viral hit Japanese single ‘Poppy’.
Back in May, STAYC held their fanmeeting event ‘SWITH Gelato Factory’ across several days in South Korea, later bringing the show to Osaka and Yokohama in Japan. In addition to their original tracks, STAYC also performed a cover of EXO’s 2018 single ‘Love Shot’.
In other K-pop news, BLACKPINK have announced that they will be ending off their ‘Born Pink’ tour with a two-night concert in Seoul next month, the second night of which will also be available to stream online.
