Scheana Shay revealed the status of Ariana Madix‘s frozen eggs during the latest episode of her podcast.
Following the latest episode of Vanderpump Rules, during which Tom Sandoval, who was caught cheating on Ariana with Raquel Leviss months later, revealed he was doing a cleanse because Ariana wanted him to fertilize her eggs, Scheana confirmed if the fertilization ever took place.
While Ariana has previously stated that she does want to have children, she and Scheana looked into freezing their eggs together in 2020 before Scheana and now-husband Brock Davies conceived daughter Summer Moon Honey Davies, who turned two earlier this month. Then, after Scheana backed out, Ariana did it on her own, successfully retrieving 26 eggs the following year.
“[That’s a] really, really good [number],” she explained on the April 19 episode. “Like, incredible. Good job, ovaries.”
Still, she insisted her “stance on all things related to being pregnant [and] giving birth” had not changed.
“It’s just that I don’t like biological clocks having the power to run anything,” Ariana explained. “And those eggs, they are more viable as fertilized embryos.”
As fans saw on the show, Sandoval didn’t seem on board with the idea, asking in a confessional, “Why would Ariana want me to fertilize her eggs when we might or might not have kids, whatever she decides?” He ultimately did not move forward with the fertilization.
“Her eggs are protected and frozen by themselves with none of that sperm … Thank God,” Scheana shared on the April 27 episode of Scheananigans, per Page Six, adding that Ariana’s eggs are “safe.”
Even Scheana’s guests, Mackenzie Dipman and Deb Chubb of Love Island, expressed their “relief.”
As Pump Rules fans will recall, Sandoval spoke of Ariana’s eggs last month during an interview on Howie Mandel‘s podcast, Howie Mandel Does Stuff, saying that after he tried to break up with her, she refused to accept the decision, instead bringing up their future plans for a family.
“She was like, ‘So what do you think about doing a sperm check to fertilize my eggs?’ And I [was] like, ‘What? We’re broken up,’” he alleged.
Vanderpump Rules season 10 airs Wednesdays at 9/8c on Bravo.
