A former comedian that worked on Bethenny Frankel’s canceled 2014 daytime talk show, Bethenny, is speaking about what it was like to work for Bethenny, and she didn’t find it funny.

Jessica Kirson worked as a comedian on the syndicated program and opened the show by “warming up” the audience before they began taping. However, her time on the program wasn’t pleasant as she dubbed Bethenny as the “rudest person on Earth.”

Jessica’s comments were originally made on the podcast So What Do You Really Do? back in 2021 but have since resurfaced via Instagram account @ilovebigcomedy on May 2nd.

“I did warm up for her show for months, and she didn’t say hi to me once. She literally talked to me like I was a piece of s***,” Jessica told host Dennis Maler at the time. “This is the rudest person on Earth.”

The same year Jessica called out Bethenny directly on social media, referring to The Real Housewives of New York City alum as a “total bitch.”

“For months, you never said hello, and you ordered me around like a dog,” she tweeted. “One day I walked off set because I had enough of your s***. Have a great day!”

Jessica went on to recall the moment that she reached her limit with Bethenny’s alleged behavior and looking back says she found the whole situation “hilarious.”

“She was never like, hello, I’m Bethenny. Or, hi, thank you so much. You’re doing a great job. Or, hi, what’s your name? I had had enough of it,” the comedian explained on the podcast. “I took the microphone and put it down on the side of the stage and literally left. I was like, I’m done. It was hilarious.”

I [would] rather do comedy on the street with a bucket than be treated like that,” Jessica continued. “I mean, I have pride.”

After the clip began making its rounds on social media, many fans await Bethenny’s response regardless of the interview’s age.

One user commented, “5-part Tik Tok response in 5, 4, 3…”

While another compared Bethenny to former costar, Ramona Singer, calling the pair “twin flames.”

One fan chimed in saying they believe Bethenny’s friendly persona and camaraderie with her staff are a complete front.

“Bethenny? Rude? I can’t imagine why anyone would say that” they wrote. “TBH I always felt like her buddy-buddy displays with her drivers and other help was performative.”

Bethenny was canceled after one season in 2014. Bethenny later returned to RHONY for a second stint, but ultimately left the series in 2020.

Most recently, she debuted a new podcast titled, ReWives, which was met with mixed reviews where fans can hear her take on all things RHONY and commentary on “iconic” episodes.
