The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Mauricio Umansky is still not on good terms with former friend and co-star Ken Todd after their wives, Kyle Richards and Lisa Vanderpump, had a falling out after “puppy-gate.”
While promoting his new book, The Dealmaker, Mauricio shared an interaction he had with Ken following his and Lisa’s departure from the show, and apparently, it was cold as ice.
“I saw him after all of this s—t happened,” Mauricio told Us Weekly. “I went right up to him and gave him a hug and a handshake, and he wouldn’t shake my hand and he wouldn’t hug me.”
Mauricio explained that despite Kyle and Lisa’s issues, he doesn’t understand why the two couldn’t at least be civil to one another.
“To me, it’s like, ‘Well, wait a minute. You and I didn’t do anything.’ Like, this is bulls—t,” he told the outlet.
The real estate mogul went on to reveal that there was “no option” for him and Ken to remain close friends since they both were going to back their wives unconditionally.
“I was gonna back my wife 100 percent of the way and Ken was gonna back his wife 100 percent of the way,” Mauricio remarked.
He continued by explaining that he misses his friendship with Ken as the two “liked each other” a lot, and he has “nothing against him.”
“I’m very much, you know, ‘Whatever my wife says is right,’… but Ken’s even more so,” Mauricio said.
Though he and Ken are no longer friends, Mauricio noted that he is still very much in touch with many other RHOBH husbands, including Paul “PK” Kemsley, Harry Hamlin, and even former RHOBH star Adrienne Maloof’s ex Paul Nassif.
As for where he and Kyle stand amid those pesky divorce rumors that have been plaguing the couple, Mauricio says they are solid, noting that Kyle is “happier than ever.” This is due in part to her recent “hot” body transformation.
“She’s healthy, she’s working out, she’s happy,” he gushed. “She got on this mojo back in the summer, quit drinking and just went for full health. And she’s one of those people that once she gets something in her mind, you can’t stop that.”
Mauricio concluded, “She feels great, she looks great, she’s happy, and that’s all that matters.”
