Kenya Moore recently offered updates on her relationship with Israeli entrepreneur Roi Shlomo and her ongoing divorce from ex Marc Daly.

Before gushing over Roi and their dynamic and revealing whether or not they are dating, the Real Housewives of Atlanta star spoke of her divorce and custody battle with Marc, noting why it has been dragging on for so long.

“It’s just the dumbest stuff,” Kenya told The U.S. Sun of her and Marc’s battle on May 15. “You know, the last time it was, ‘Oh, well, we don’t have a parenting plan.’”

At the time of the interview, Kenya and Marc were days away from their fourth mediation session, with a possible trial looming.

“If we don’t come to an agreement this week, then it looks like we’ll have to go to trial,” Kenya revealed. “It just doesn’t make any sense at this point. It’s like, I just threw in the towel, and whatever he’s asking for, just give it to him. I am not gonna be going back and forth fighting in the trial.”

“I’m just like, ‘Let me be single. Just give me my divorce,” she added.

According to Kenya, she and Marc haven’t yet finalized her divorce due to their many canceled court dates.

“Primarily, it’s because there’s just been a lot of, ‘I can’t make that date.’ Cancellations. We would be going to mediation, and then we’d get a phone call, ‘We can’t make the mediation today or tomorrow, so we have to cancel and reschedule,’” she revealed, noting that Marc also “refused to sign off” on certain things.

“It’s just a lot of just never signing anything, never agreeing,” she said. “It’s just never-ending.”

Currently, Kenya has primary physical custody of her and Marc’s 4-year-old daughter, Brooklyn. And, regarding the future, the RHOA cast member said that will “probably never change.” That said, Marc wants joint legal custody of the child, meaning he wants a say in her education and where she lives.

Despite being at odds, Kenya said she and Marc are in a “better place” than they have been in the past.

“It’s somewhat cordial,” she revealed. “I think that we have gotten very far. It used to be only text messages if that, or just me handing the phone to Brooklyn so that she could speak to him. But now, we are in a better place. But it’s always a point of contention whenever the divorce proceedings start.”

Kenya went on to say that she initially made her custody request because Marc was trying to ban her from filming with her daughter.

“And, as you know, that is my job, that’s my bread and butter. That’s something I did before him, and he knew I did it,” she noted. “He knew I was on TV, and he agreed to allow our daughter to film. He only tried to block me once I filed for separation.”

In recent years, the RHOA cast has been hit with a number of divorces, including that of Eva Marcille and Michael Sterling, and Drew Sidora and Ralph Pittman, both of which Kenya said were “sad.”

She also commented on Kim Zolciak and Kroy Biermann‘s split,

“Everyone knows I’m not a huge fan of Kim Z, but at the end of the day, that’s a family, and they have a lot of children together,” Kenya said. “It actually made me sad because it seemed like they stood by each other’s side, but clearly, there’s a lot of things that we don’t know that happened in the marriage, and the money seems to clearly be an issue.”

Also, speaking to The U.S. Sun, Kenya said she and Roi are “great friends.”

“He’s a wonderful friend who supports me in any way that he can, especially with business. And we just have a lot of things in common, and we just sort of, like, understand where we are in each other’s lives, and it’s been a great friendship,” she shared.

But when it comes to romance, Kenya said that while she and Roi, who owns Kale Me Crazy and Turks & Caicos’ Aziza Restaurant & Lounge, “dated” in the past, they are “focusing on being great friends” at the moment.

“I think that’s the foundation of any great relationship,” she noted. “We really have known each other for a while – over a year – and we’ve gotten to be really close. He’s been a great confidant, he’s a great guy.”
