Pikmin Finder is here to sate your hunger for more Pikmin. More Pikmin, more fun. At least that’s probably how things will feel if you love the Pikmin franchise. If Pikmin Bloom and Pikmin 4 on Nintendo Switch weren’t enough, Nintendo has partnered up with Niantic for this next endeavor.

As pointed out by Nintendo Life, this was likely a game that was created to keep people at the Nintendo Live event in Seattle over the weekend busy. Nintendo Live is now over but you can still access the game and all you need is a mobile device. Well, a mobile device and some internet access. Seeing as this is a browser game. If you have those two things, you can head to the game’s official website from your phone or tablet.

Once there, the game will load up and you’ll be told that “there are Pikmin nearby.” And you’ll need to move your phone around to scan for them. You won’t have to do much searching though. A second or less goes by and one should come into view. Then from there you just need to use your finger to swipe up on screen to yank the Pikmin out of the ground.

Pikmin Finder is a time-passing collection game

A far as games go, there’s not much to do other than find Pikmin and collect them. Making this really nothing more than a time passing collection game. That said, it might be right up your alley and just what you need if you need to kill a few minutes.

It’s also likely a great game to play if you have kids that enjoy the Pikmin franchise. Certain Pikmin will show up at different times of the day according to the game’s little tips. So you may not always stumble across the same ones. We found Red Pikmin and Ice Pikmin in our brief few minutes of play time. Once you find a few, you’ll be prompted to send the Pikmin off to find nearby treasure. They’ll skip off and grab it then bring it back, and that will be added to your treasure collection. And that’s basically it.

There’s also a button you can tap to take and share screenshots. It’s light content, but amusing nonetheless. Plus it’s free.
