“No explosive gadgets have been found” police say after singer rushed offstage mid-performance and Riverside Theater “safely evacuated”

Patti LaBelle’s live performance in Milwaukee Saturday was abruptly halted — and the singer was rushed off the stage mid-performance — after the venue acquired a bomb menace.

Video from the live performance exhibits LaBelle conversing with the gang when safety guards rushed onstage to usher the singer away. “Wait!,” a perplexed LaBelle advised them earlier than strolling offstage. “We’re grateful for the efforts of the Milwaukee Police Division and our clients and employees for his or her protected and orderly exit. We’re working with the artist to reschedule the present.”

Concertgoer Scott Pierce advised the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, “It occurred so rapidly. Everyone very calmly exited the theater in a disbelieving method.
