Activision has just dropped all of the details for the upcoming season 6 content patch in Modern Warfare II and it includes quite a few new operators and operator skins.

Leading the charge as the main operator for the season will be Spawn, the iconic comic book character created by Todd McFarlane. Alongside him will be a host of other operators. Including Alucard from the ‘Hellsing’ anime, Ash Williams from Evil Dead 2, and, hilariously, Skeletor from Masters of the Universe. Both Lilith and Inarius from Diablo IV will also be joining as operators available later in the season.

Not all of these will be available right away. Some operators will make their appearance next week on September 27 when Season 6 of Modern Warfare II goes live. Others will be available in a mid-season update as per usual. Spawn coming to the game was not a total surprise. Official artwork for the character was leaked earlier this week and prior to that there were rumors about him being added. But now things are official. And any Call of Duty fans who are also fans of McFarlane’s work are probably excited.

Spawn is not one of the bundle operators for Modern Warfare II season 6

While Spawn seemed ripe for being added to the game as a purchasable bundle, that actually isn’t the case. According to Activision he will be a part of the season’s theme and the theme of various rewards throughout the battle pass.

Players can access Spawn’s human form Al Simmons as an operator immediately at the start of the season with the battle pass. And as they progress through the season they’ll be able unlock additional Spawn-themed rewards. Like another Spawn operator skin and themed weapons. By the sounds of it, you will get Al Simmons by purchasing the battle pass and Spawn will be available at the start of battle pass progress. The actual Spawn skin is a tier 0 skin. So he’ll be unlockable on the first sector.

If you complete the pass and reach sector 20 you can unlock the tier 100 Spawn skin. Which Activision says is the “mightiest Spawn Operator Skin of them all.” In addition to these skins, there are various skins available for other operators themed after Spawn villains. Including Violator, Violator’s Creepy Clown form, Disruptor, and Soul Crusher. If you like collecting these, there’s a ton being added next week. And don’t forget all of these will carry forward to Modern Warfare III.
