Militarie Gun have released a brand new song that doubles as Post Malone’s entrance music for 2K’s WWE 2K24.

Post Malone has been a vocal fan of Militarie Gun for a long time now. As well as wearing merch and shouting them out, Malone was seen hanging out with Militarie Gun’s vocalist Ian Shelton last year, with the pair enthusiastically singing along to the band’s breakout hit ‘Do It Faster’.

Earlier this year, it was confirmed Post Malone would be curating the soundtrack to WWE 2K24, with the collection of songs featuring Militarie Gun alongside hyper-pop superstars 100 Gecs, Turnstile, Grimes, Busta Rhymes and many others.

This week saw the launch of an expansion pack that makes Post Malone a playable character in WWE 2K24. It turns out Militarie Gun have also recorded his entrance music for the game.

‘Gun Under The Gun (MFG)’ is a 53-second burst of swaggering, noisy chaos and is available to stream now.

According to the band, they were given just 24 hours to create the track and took influence from Motörhead’s classic theme for WWE legend Triple H. “A wrestling intro needs to start big and iconic, get more aggressive, and then go heavier,” Shelton told New Noise Magazine. “That’s how the song ended up—starting big and spacey, then more aggressive, and finally half-time for a total beatdown.”

“It’s such a strange crossover and an even stranger song to accompany such a crossover,” he added. “It’s a very fun thing to put out into the world and see what people think.”

Speaking about his soundtrack for WWE 2K24, Malone said: “The secret to a great video game soundtrack is a little something for everyone and for every mood. It gets you excited and it gets you pumped up to play. This has been a total blast,” he added. “We have a lot of cool ideas, so I’m super excited.”

Malone is currently gearing up to release his sixth album ‘F-1 Trillion’, which is due out August 16 while Militarie Gun are about to kick off an Australian tour.

In other news, 11 Bit Studios has confirmed that the launch of Frostpunk 2 will be delayed from summer 2024.
