Melissa Gorga is taking a page out of Ariana Madix’s playbook and cashing in on her misfortune to make a fortune.
Amid Melissa’s epic fallout with her Real Housewives of New Jersey co-star Teresa Giudice, the On Display singer is throwing some major shade at her sister-in-law as she took to Instagram on Wednesday, June 7, to advertise $50 gold handcuff bracelets she’s selling in her boutique, Envy.
“Grab them before they’re GONE!! Only a few left of The Handcuff Link Bracelets ☺️☺️ #rhonj #melissagorga #envybymg,” she captioned the video, which was set to singer Akon’s hit song, “Locked Up.” In front of the jewelry display was an office nameplate that read, “Melissa Gorga, Boss B**ch.”
Melissa’s obvious dig at Teresa comes on the heels of the pair’s sparring match on the Real Housewives of New Jersey season 13 reunion, which saw Melissa pointedly remind Teresa of her time spent behind bars for tax and mortgage fraud.
RHONJ viewers will remember that Teresa and her ex-husband Joe Giudice were both indicted and subsequently convicted of fraud charges in 2013 and sentenced to prison time. Previously, Teresa accused her former RHONJ co-star, Caroline Manzo, of turning her and Joe into the Feds. However, during season 13’s reunion, Teresa claims that she now believes Melissa and her husband, Joe Gorga, were behind the scheme.
“Teresa, we didn’t commit mortgage fraud — you did, dollface. Like, stop,” Melissa responded to Teresa’s reunion claim. And host and producer Andy Cohen had to remind the series OG, “You were married to the person who was responsible for you going to jail.”
Not-so-coincidentally, Teresa’s ex, Joe Giudice, has gone on record and said that he knows “for a fact” that Melissa and Joe Gorga played a hand in the scandal that put them in jail. He allegedly has an “ex-FBI” friend who divulged certain details to him.
“Yeah, I might’ve cheated on some things, my tax returns, you know, who didn’t?” Joe admitted before adding that Melissa and Joe then “went to the feds to feed them all this information.”
As for Melissa’s latest social media jab pointed at her family, fans had a field day in the comments section.
“Perfect drop timing lmao,” one fan commented beneath the clip. Another added, “I am dead. The shade!”
“Well, this is a dig if I ever seen one and ITS AWESOME!!!!” another remarked.
One supporter of Melissa praised the reality star for having a “sense of humor” and making “lemonade out of all the lemons [she has] been pelted with over the years!!”
The handcuff bracelets aren’t the only merchandise that Melissa is hawking that shades Teresa.
She’s also selling crewneck sweatshirts that read, “I know you hate me, but just try and control yourself” for $55 a pop. This was a comment that Melissa made to Teresa during another segment of the explosive reunion.
