Fashion faux pas.
The Real Housewives of New Jersey fans are accusing Melissa Gorga of copying her estranged sister-in-law, Teresa Giudice, and ripping off her fashion.
Both reality stars have daughters that are graduating from their respective schools. Teresa was the first to upload a photo of herself in a pair of Amanda Uprichard striped trousers. In the photo, she’s with her daughter, Gia, who recently graduated from Rutgers University. Weeks later, Melissa posted a photo of herself wearing the exact same pants with her daughter, Antonia, at her high school graduation.
Teresa went with the collection’s full ensemble complete with the midriff-bearing crop top and matching blazer.
Melissa opted to go solely with the fashion designer’s pants, pairing them with a beige bodysuit and also finishing with a blazer.
Fans wasted no time calling out Melissa for copying Teresa’s look. One fan sarcastically commented, “I recognize those pants…Oh yeah, Tre wore them 6 weeks ago for Gia’s graduation, nice!”
A second fan accused Melissa of “trying so hard” to outdo Teresa, “even down to the outfit!”
Another quipped, “Did you borrow Teresa’s pants?” A fourth added, “She couldn’t wear her own pants? Lamez!”
This wouldn’t be the first time the dueling family members have been accused of stealing one another’s ideas.
As Melissa and Teresa remain at odds amid their contentious feud, RHONJ fans pointed out that Teresa seemingly copied Melissa’s college “bed party” photo for Antonia — right down to the poses and memorabilia display — for her daughter, Gabriella.
In addition, back in December 2022, Teresa took to Instagram to post photos of her newly renovated dream kitchen and was met with criticism that the kitchen looked eerily like Melissa’s. Both kitchens boasted white marble countertops, large islands, and gold accents. The layout was nearly identical as well.
Many RHONJ fans have speculated that Melissa and Teresa are using social media to continue fanning the flames amid their contentious estrangement. The pair haven’t been on speaking terms for almost a year after it was revealed that Teresa and her husband, Luis Ruelas, met with Melissa’s husband and Teresa’s brother, Joe Gorga, to discuss a vicious rumor that Melissa had allegedly cheated on him. She has vehemently denied the allegations.
The drama was caught on Bravo cameras for season 13 of RHONJ and the following reunion.
Melissa and Teresa have reportedly refused to film with one another in season 14 of RHONJ amid reports that both women want their own spinoff show. Melissa has come out and denied the rumors as RHONJ has been put on pause as producers figure out how to navigate around the ladies’ feud.
