For the last decade or so, makeup artist and beauty entrepreneur Violette Serrat has carved an incredible path in the beauty industry — ultimately becoming a leading figure in the world of cosmetics.
Serrat’s story began at just 19 years old when she discovered her love for makeup artistry by doing her friend’s makeup before a party. This chance encounter led her to leave school and start producing shoots for free, using these opportunities to hone her skills and build a portfolio, catching the eye of Vogue France. Within a year, Serrat became the makeup director at Dior, where she continued to make her mark in the industry. Over the next decade, she took on various roles, including product development consultant at Sephora, global beauty director at Estee Lauder, and global creative director of makeup at Guerlain.
Throughout her incredibly impressive journey, Serrat eventually developed her unique aesthetic and technique, which she began sharing through her popular YouTube channel. By 2021, with 13 years of experience and a profound passion for empowering people to embrace their natural beauty, Serrat made a pivotal decision to create her own beauty brand. Thus, Violette_FR was born—a brand that encourages creativity, self-expression, and having fun with makeup.
Violette_FR quickly gained popularity, selling direct to consumers and earning a coveted spot on Moda Operandi. One of the brand’s standout products, the Boum-Boum Milk, a versatile three-in-one toner, serum, and moisturizer, became an instant hit, securing distribution in French pharmacies. Through her brand, Serrat aims to empower individuals to embrace their authentic selves while fostering a positive relationship with makeup. Her approach celebrates diversity and natural beauty, inspiring her customers to feel confident and empowered in their skin.
