Mauricio Umansky reacted to rumors claiming his estranged wife, Kyle Richards, cheated on him with 28-year-old country singer Morgan Wade on Tuesday after narrowly escaping elimination on Dancing With the Stars.
While reflecting on his Latin Night performance and sharing why he hadn’t yet watched the trailer for the new season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Mauricio, 53, who also stars on Buying Beverly Hills, spoke of his current relationship with Kyle, 54, and admitted his DWTS experience has been “therapeutic.” Meanwhile, Kyle was spotted picking Morgan up from the airport.
In photos obtained by Page Six on October 5, Kyle was seen wearing a pair of sunglasses and a black leather jacket in her black Range Rover on Wednesday. She was waiting for Morgan, who arrived at the Los Angeles International Airport in a “Max Effort” T-shirt, black pants, and a camouflage hat.
The sighting came just one day after Kyle and Mauricio seemed to make cheating allegations against one another in the RHOBH season 13 trailer.
“I’m just glad it’s you out there having an affair,” Mauricio told Kyle, who replied, “For once, it’s me.”
Because he was so focused on getting ready for Tuesday night’s dance with partner Emma Slater, 34, Mauricio hadn’t seen the clip prior to his October 3 interview with Extra TV.
“I didn’t watch it on purpose. I knew it was going to be high drama, very intense. I knew they were using my relationship with Kyle as part of the big trailer, the big thing… I will go home and watch it,” he shared.
While Mauricio admitted to missing a chunk of his salsa on the show, he said he was grateful to be doing DWTS.
“It’s therapeutic. It’s giving me the opportunity to dance and to have tons of fun,” he explained. “What Kyle and I are dealing with, we are dealing with… I don’t know that there is healing to be done, there’s life.”
Although Kyle and Mauricio have both confirmed they are separated, Mauricio said they aren’t “throwing in the towel” quite yet.
“We are going to take our time. When we know what is happening with our lives, we will make sure to let everyone know what is happening with our lives,” he shared. “We are still best friends… We had 26 great years, one tough year. You don’t just throw in the towel that fast, but you also accept life, and we’ve gotta work.”
As for the rumors of Kyle and Morgan’s affair: “I don’t believe there was any affairs or anything like that, so I don’t believe that at all. I don’t believe that, yeah, period, end of story.”
