Mauricio Umansky and Kyle Richards may have been struggling amid their busy schedules in the months leading up to their alleged separation.
As one of Mauricio’s April interviews resurfaced, sharing the comments he made about the “work” he and Kyle were putting into their marriage, Netflix has confirmed that the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star filmed Buying Beverly Hills season two alongside her spouse and two oldest daughters, Farrah Aldjufrie, 34, and Alexia Umansky, 26.
“Kyle will indeed appear in Buying Beverly Hills season 2,” Netflix confirmed to PEOPLE on July 5, adding that production on the upcoming episodes is ongoing.
According to a PEOPLE report on Monday, Mauricio and Kyle, who, in addition to Alexia, share Sophia Umansky, 23, and Portia Umansky, 15, “have been separated for a while now but are still living under the same roof” as “they remain amicable as they figure out what’s next for them and their family.”
However, according to Mauricio and Kyle, they aren’t planning to divorce.
“In regards to the news that came out about us today… Any claims regarding divorcing are untrue,” they said shortly after PEOPLE’s report was shared. “However, yes, we have had a rough year. The most challenging one of our marriage. But we both love and respect each other tremendously. There has been no wrongdoing on anyone’s part. Although we are in the public eye, we ask to be able to work through our issues privately.”
“While it may be entertaining to speculate, please do not create false stories to fit a further salacious narrative,” they added, seemingly referencing the potential romance between Kyle and Morgan Wade.
On Thursday, after Mauricio and Kyle celebrated the Fourth of July as a family in Aspen, one of Mauricio’s past interviews was uncovered, in which the realtor spoke of his and Kyle’s relationship.
“We’ve had an amazing marriage,” Mauricio told Us Weekly in April. “We’ve been very, very lucky. Right now, we’re both very, very busy and we just have to keep things going and work at it.”
No word yet on when Buying Beverly Hills season two will begin airing.
