Mary Timony wants the summer to never end. On Monday, the former Helium guitarist released “Summer,” the newest single from her album Untame the Tiger, out Feb. 23.

“I wanted it to be a guitar stomper kind of in the vein of The Kinks, Jethro Tull or Elf and have simultaneous guitar solos at the end,” Timony said in a press release. “I’m excited to play this one live.”

Timony will tour starting at the end of February, making stops across the country for shows in cities such as Minneapolis, Portland, San Francisco, Nashville, and Los Angeles. Betsy Wright of Ex Hex will join her on guitar, along with David Christian, Chad Molter, and Anna Wilson.

” I can’t wait to rock those twin solos with [Wright]!” she wrote. “They are all such totally killer musicians.”

On Instagram, Timony — who was named one of the Greatest Guitarists of All Time by Rolling Stone — shared her excitement for the track’s lyric video, which featured photos a the recording session at Studio 606, along with the artwork by Colin Burns on the album cover.

“What an incredible experience collaborating with such a talented crew. I feel so lucky,” Timony wrote. Backed by her electric guitar, Timony sings about meeting someone somewhere “beyond the universe,” where “there is no time.”
