Luis Ruelas was forced to defend himself on Instagram after being called out for oversharing over the weekend.
As the Real Housewives of New Jersey cast reacted to his heartfelt tribute to his wife Teresa Giudice‘s late mother, Antonia Gorga, Luis, 48, clapped back at his hater as Teresa and Jackie Goldschneider, 46, seemingly confirmed their reconciliation with an Instagram interaction.
“Monday meetings in Manhattan [Simon and Schuster]! Let the countdown begin! Link in bio to pre-order your copy!” Jackie wrote in the caption of an Instagram post regarding her new book, The Weight of Beautiful, which will be released on September 26.
In the comments, Jackie was met with tons of supportive messages from her friends, fans, and followers, including co-star Teresa, 51.
“Congratulations,” Teresa wrote, along with a series of celebratory emoji.
“Thanks babe,” Jackie replied.
Meanwhile, on Luis’ Instagram page, he shared a sweet tribute to Antonia, who he never had the pleasure of meeting.
“This morning was so beautiful as my wife reminisced about her loving, beautiful and incredibly classy mother Antonia Gorga. I couldn’t help but feel a profound sense of admiration and gratitude for the woman I never had the chance to meet. Though she left this world before our paths crossed, her legacy lives on through Teresa and her granddaughters Gia, Gabriella, Milania and Audriana,” he captioned a photo of Teresa and her mom.
“I am forever inspired by the remarkable woman she was,” he added.
After sharing the post, Luis was met with reactions from both Dolores Catania, 52, and Teresa.
“There is a saying I live by ‘show me your kids and I’ll show [you] who [you] are.’ She was a beautiful woman who was a true mother she cared for her family more [than] herself a reflection of Teresa! Like Teresa always says you were handpicked by her mom,” Dolores wrote.
And Teresa added, “I love you.”
But after sharing another post amid his and Teresa’s getaway to Switzerland, Luis was met with criticism from a follower who felt the two of them had made a habit of oversharing.
“Can’t you people just ‘live your life’ and not plaster it on tabloid pages, just for ‘likes’? Ugh,” the person wrote, prompting a response from Luis.
“We are living our life, it’s not my fault [you’re] watching us like a hawk,” he replied. “Move on and be happy in your own life … Unfollow us I don’t care what you think and that’s ok.”
The Real Housewives of New Jersey season 14 began filming in August and is expected to premiere on Bravo sometime early next year.
