Awards include “Best Destination in Mexico” at Travel Weekly’s Readers Choice Awards, “Best Sustainable Destination in Mexico” at the World Travel Awards, and “Destination with the Highest Customer Satisfaction in Mexico” at AMAV.
Los Cabos has once again stood out as one of the best destinations in Mexico, achieving a significant milestone in the tourism industry. On this occasion, it was named “Best Destination in Mexico” for the first time at the Readers Choice Awards. This award is in addition to the 18 awards that the destination has received throughout 2023.
Rodrigo Esponda Cascajares, Director of the Los Cabos Tourism Trust (Fiturca), emphasized that these recognitions represent a significant step forward in the destination’s development as an elite tourism destination. The relevance of this achievement lies in the fact that for the first time, Los Cabos has been recognized by U.S. travel agents for its commitment to exclusivity and hospitality.
“This year has been remarkable, but the truth is that we did not expect to receive so many recognitions. This award, received this week by Travel Weekly’s Readers Choice Awards, has been given for 22 years and has always been won by Cancun or the Riviera Maya.”
Fiturca emphasized that the joint work of the different sectors that make up the trust has been fundamental to Los Cabos being recognized as a top destination at a national and international level. During the year, the destination has received several awards, such as Best Sustainable Destination in Mexico, Best Marketing Campaign for Destinations Worldwide, and Destination with the Highest Customer Satisfaction in Mexico

Almost every area of the trust has received some form of recognition. In addition to being recognized in Travel Weekly’s Readers Choice Awards, Los Cabos was also highlighted as a winner in Travel + Leisure’s 50 Best Destinations 2024 list. This additional mention underscores Los Cabos’ global appeal and reaffirms its position as a leader in luxury tourism.
