The deluxe edition of the singer’s third studio album will include nine new versions of songs from the record
A new cast of characters is joining Niall Horan‘s The Show. Nearly five months after the release of his third studio album, the singer and songwriter has announced an extended edition titled The Show: The Encore, with special appearances from Lizzy McAlpine and John Legend. The record will arrive on Nov. 3 featuring nine new versions of songs from its original track list.
Ahead of the album’s release, Horan will share his collaborative rendition of “You Could Start a Cult” with McAlpine. Earlier this year, the former One Direction member performed the rising singer and songwriter’s breakout hit “Ceilings” during his BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge set. “I’ve been a huge fan of hers for a while now and am so grateful she was able to hop on the song and write a special new verse,” he shared about the single, out Friday.
The record’s other collaboration places Horan’s fellow The Voice coach on an updated version of “The Show.” The pair are working together for the first time this year as Horan returns for his second season on the singing competition alongside Gwen Stefani and Reba McEntire.
For the remaining seven bonus tracks, Horan will share live versions of “Science” and “Something in the Orange,” a cover of the Zach Bryan song, which was recorded at Spotify Studios during a special live performance celebrating the release of the album earlier this year. “Much more to come from that night to come soon,” he teased in recent post.
The singer snuck another cover onto the project with the mashup of “If You Leave Me” and Tears for Fears’ “Everybody Wants to Rule the World” that he played during his festival run this summer. The live recording was captured at Electric Picnic, as was “Heaven” and “Save My Life.”
