It’s official. Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum Lisa Vanderpump is closing the doors to her West Hollywood hotspot, Pump Restaurant Lounge.
Following months of rumors regarding the impending closure and the alleged suspension of the venue’s liquor license, it has been confirmed that upon the expiration of the Vanderpump Rules star’s current lease for the property, she and her team will be vacating the building.
“It’s with heavy hearts that we announce that the lease at Pump Restaurant is expiring, and we will be closing its doors on July 5th, after 10 years of beautiful evenings under our olive trees,” the family told TMZ on May 4.
According to the family, they would have loved to have remained at the location, which is situated on the corner of Robertson Boulevard and Santa Monica Boulevard, but were unable after their landlords increased their rent.
“While we have loved our time operating Pump, to take on another 10-year lease with a huge increase in rent by the landlords, is not something we are ready to commit to. After successfully running 37+ establishments for many years, this type of rent is untenable,” they shared.
Although the family didn’t detail how much their rent was raised, insiders told TMZ that Lisa and husband Ken Todd refused and were facing payments totaling nearly $1 million for the year.
As Pump Rules fans may recall, Lisa and Ken also shuttered the doors to their former Beverly Hills restaurant, Villa Blanca, in 2020 due to an increase in rent. And ever since, the location has remained empty.
Sources also said Lisa was hoping Pump could remain open through June, which is Pride Month, because she wants to “support the local community with one last hurrah.”
As Lisa and Ken prepare to say goodbye to Pump, their other West Hollywood venues, SUR Restaurant and TomTom, the latter of which they co-own with Tom Sandoval and Tom Schwartz, will remain open.
“We look forward to welcoming you all to TomTom [and SUR] in the months following! Thank you for the past decade of support, we have loved our staff, our patrons and our time together,” the family’s statement concluded.
Pump Restaurant, which has been featured on many episodes of Pump Rules, first faced rumors of closure earlier this year when a listing for the location was posted by a realtor on Instagram. However, at that time, Lisa denied it was closing.
Vanderpump Rules season 10 airs Tuesdays at 9/8c on Bravo.
