Lisa Rinna‘s rep is fighting back after the former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star was accused of being bitter over her exit from the series.
After Lisa encouraged her fellow Bravolebrities to boycott BravoCon in an effort to gain fair wages, the network allegedly hit back at their former cast member, feeling that Lisa was biting the hand that feeds her by taking a stand against them.
In an Instagram post shared in July, Lisa highlighted a message written by a fan who called out RHOBH viewers and suggested a BravoCon boycott.
“If we’re being real here, shouldn’t all the woke Bravo Stans boycott Bravocon? They love flexing how progressive they are by calling everybody racist and campaigning for reality stars to be fired. Well, there’s nothing more left wing than workers rights and unions!” the fan proclaimed. “I hope all the passionate left leaning Bravo fans can sit Bravocon out this year to flex their progressive credentials … We need real action not just tweeting that everybody is a racist.”
The message came just as Lisa voiced her support for Bethenny Frankel amid her calls for reality stars to unionize.
Weeks later, an insider told the National Enquirer, via a Radar Online report on August 11, “Lisa is dead to Bravo.”
“She is literally biting the hand that feeds her. You didn’t hear Lisa demanding a strike when she was collecting a Bravo paycheck,” the source stated. “This is sour grapes because she is no longer a Real Housewife and she wasn’t invited to participate in this year’s convention.”
But in response to the insider’s claims, Lisa’s rep said there are “no sour grapes at all.”
“This was based solely on the principles of the matter surrounding the discussion of unionizing,” they insisted.
Still, the source said Lisa, who appeared on RHOBH seasons five through 12, should tread lightly.
“Don’t forget Bravo is part of a much bigger company. When you mess with one of the channels, you’re messing with them all,” the insider shared. “If Lisa ever wants to be on Access Hollywood, E! or the Today show ever again, she should shut her mouth.”
In addition to taking a stand against Bravo, Lisa has spoken out against Days of Our Lives director Albert Alarr, who was accused of misconduct in the workplace months ago.
“Karma is a b*tch,” Lisa said in an Instagram post. “Let’s see when’s the last time I went over there and did that week on Peacock I couldn’t believe the work environment. It was disgusting, I was shocked. I let many people know, Albert included, and they didn’t do a thing until now, it seems.”
But after Albert faced claims of being abusive on set, and an investigation was conducted, the production company behind Days of Our Lives insisted their set is a safe environment.
“Corday Productions engaged Sony Pictures Television, which distributes Days of our Lives, to conduct an impartial investigation into this matter,” they said in a statement. “After a two-month investigation, the independent investigator produced a report with its findings. Based on those findings, Corday Productions has taken a series of actions designed to ensure a safe and respectful work environment.”
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 13 is expected to begin airing on Bravo sometime this fall.
