A TV series based on Sega‘s hit video game series Like A Dragon is set to arrive on Prime Video this October.

Today (June 4), Prime Video announced on social media that Like A Dragon: Yakuza is due to premiere on the streaming platform on October 24.

Per a Variety report, it was then revealed that the upcoming series will be live-action, and will consist of six episodes. Like A Dragon: Yakuza will be released in two batches, with the first 3 episodes arriving on October 24, while the last 3 arrive on November 1. It will be available in 30 subtitle and dub options.

The show is directed by Take Masaharu (100 Yen Love, The Naked Director) and Takimoto Kengo (Kamen Teacher). It will focus on lead character Kiryu Kazuma, who will be portrayed by Kamen Rider actor Takeuchi Ryoma.

Per an IGN report, the series will be loosely based on the first Yakuza game from 2005. IGN also reports that the series will follow Kiryu and his childhood friends between two time periods: 1995 and 2005.
