Will 2024 be the year that Lana Del Rey finally wins a Grammy? Hours after the Recording Academy announced the nominees for next year’s Grammy Awards show, the singer shared her excitement for the news of her nominations, thanks to her album, Did You Know That There’s a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd?

“I woke up so very excited about these Grammy nominations, five,” she said amid laughs. “And we’re singing on I think two of the other albums that are nominated to with Jon and Taylor.” (She refers to Swift’s Midnights and Batiste’s World Music Radio, both of which she’s featured on, and which are up for Album of the Year.)

“It’s just such a fun day. It’s really just about how excited everybody else is. And everybody calling and getting in touch and saying hi. So, all about the process,” she added. “It’s just one more exciting thing that’s happening so genuinely touched.”

Del Rey continued by shouting out some of the people who worked on her project, including Mike Hermosa, Jack Antonoff, Benji, Zach Dawes, and Drew Erickson who co-produced her album.

Ocean Blvd is up for both Album of the Year and Best Alternative Music Album. Meanwhile, “A&W” is nominated for Song of the Year and Best Alternative Music Performance, while “Candy Necklace” with Jon Batiste is up for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance.

“Thank you to everybody who nominated us. I, in fact, only learned this year that you have to submit now if you want to be nominated, so even that was out of my wheelhouse, but I did do that,” she added with a laugh. “The best part of all of it is just even being able to put yourself out there, which I did. And that sounds so cheesy, but all the same.”

“I’m super grateful, man, I’m having a good day,” she continued.
