Lala Kent received a message from Howie Mandel after criticizing his interview with Tom Sandoval earlier this month.
Just under two weeks after calling out Howie for his “really bad” lighting and for being too easy on her Vanderpump Rules co-star, who had cheated on longtime girlfriend Ariana Madix with their friend, Raquel Leviss, one month prior, Lala revealed the communication she’s had with Howie since. She also looked back on her and Katie Maloney‘s suspicions of Sandoval and Raquel.
In a video shared to her Instagram Story over the weekend, Lala looked back on the moment she called Raquel a “mistress,” saying that while she doesn’t believe Raquel was Oliver Saunders‘ mistress last summer, she doesn’t regret the comment.
“That was an isolated experience, an isolated comment. I stand by the fact that I don’t think Raquel was a mistress in the Oliver situation. At this point in time, me and Katie, eyebrows raised, like, something seems off between Sandoval and Raquel,” Lala explained.
However, despite their suspicions, Lala and Katie had no proof.
“We didn’t have proof, and you ask anybody, you ask anybody, you are innocent until proven guilty,” Lala stated. “We needed probable cause, beyond a reasonable doubt. We had nothing. We only had the gut. Okay? So I don’t regret saying that to her because it wasn’t a blanketed statement. It was an isolated statement.”
Meanwhile, on the April 18 episode of Give Them Lala, via Heavy, Lala opened up about her feud with Howie, confirming that while she and Howie are no longer at odds, she still feels Howie should’ve given Sandoval a harder time on his show.
“Howie, you have a daughter and I think your tune would be a little different if it was your daughter in the position of Ariana. I don’t know if you’d be saying, ‘Well, you weren’t married, so get over it. People cheat,’” Lala noted.
That said, Lala has been in touch with Howie and is actually considering an appearance on Howie Mandel Does Stuff, although not anytime soon.
“I go into my DMs and have a ye old Howie Mandel and he says, ‘You should do my podcast. I’ll let you fix the lighting,’” Lala revealed. “And so then I know he has a good sense of humor, okay, great sense of humor. And I said ‘Howie just give me the lighting that you and your kid [Jackelyn Shultz] got, your lighting is great. Sandoval’s — you made him look like 100 years old.’ A 100-year-old, chain-smoking, alcohol-drinking degenerate and he’s only three of those things.”
According to Lala, she “absolutely want[s] to go on his podcast,” but feels she should “put that on the backburner” because she believes “Bravo is a little nervous about Howie Mandel right now.”
“I think it would be funny. I think we could like f-ck around on it,” Lala continued.
And while Howie is admittedly not a viewer of Pump Rules, Lala plans to teach him a thing or two if she does end up on his show.
“He’s about to know Bravo because Lala is about to get in there and school his a– on his own podcast,” she stated.
Vanderpump Rules season 10 airs Wednesdays at 9/8c on Bravo.
