Lala Kent and her Vanderpump Rules castmates may have been on the outs with Tom Sandoval at the start of production on season 11 at the end of last month, but now, Lala is sharing a new update on where things stand.
As she opened up about the cast’s current stances toward Sandoval, 40, who they ousted earlier this year after learning he had cheated on Ariana Madix, 38, with their co-star and friend, Raquel Leviss, 28, Lala revealed that a spinoff featuring Jax Taylor, 44, Brittany Cartwright, 34, and Kristen Doute, 40, is expected to begin filming this week.
“You will have to stay tuned for that. It is fully happening, and I think they start this week,” Lala, 32, confirmed on Amazon Live on July 24, per Us Weekly. “It is so weird that they have a show and they aren’t on our show. And as of now, we aren’t on their show. We are all best friends and we should be filming a show together.”
As Pump Rules fans may recall, Deadline reported news of Jax and Brittany’s new show in late June, noting that the eight-episode series would follow the couple, who announced their Pump Rules exit in December 2020, and Kristen, who was fired from the show in June 2020, as they move into parenthood and adulthood after their younger days at SUR.
Kristen’s role on the new show comes just months after she returned to production on Pump Rules on the heels of “Scandoval” to film with Ariana.
As for Lala’s claims regarding the cast’s relationships with Sandoval, she didn’t name any names but suggested to her Amazon Live audience that “certain people” were “feeling torn.”
“You’re just going to have to see,” she teased, as seen in a July 24 post by Vanderpump Pod Recaps on Instagram. “It’s the strangest season that I have been a part of. I’m trying to see other people’s perspective. It’s a freaking strange environment. And certain people are feeling torn but you’ll have to see who those people are.”
Vanderpump Rules season 11 will premiere on Bravo sometime later this year or early next year.
