Kyle Richards claims her family, including her husband, Mauricio Umansky, and her four daughters, Farrah Aldjufrie, 34, Alexia Umansky, 27, Sophia Umansky, 23, and Portia Umansky, 15, felt relieved after she publicly confirmed her marriage hardships.

During an appearance on Amazon Live on Monday, the 54-year-old Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star said that her girls are “holding up” and feeling “loved” after she and Mauricio, 53, put their ongoing divorce rumors to rest with a joint statement earlier this month.

After a PEOPLE report claimed Kyle and Mauricio had been “separated for a while” but were “still living under the same roof” and remaining “amicable as they figure out what’s next for them and their family,” the couple posted a statement on Instagram.

“In regards to the news that came out about us today… Any claims regarding us divorcing are untrue. However, yes, we have had a rough year,” they wrote. “The most challenging one of our marriage. But we both love and respect each other tremendously. There has been no wrongdoing on anyone’s part. Although we are in the public eye, we ask to be able to work through our issues privately. While it may be entertaining to speculate, please do not create false stories to fit a further salacious narrative.”

Weeks after the statement, on Amazon Live, Kyle confirmed her daughters are staying strong as she and Mauricio attempt to work through their relationship issues.

“They’re really strong,” Kyle shared, via PEOPLE. “Listen, they know that we all love each other, and they’re old enough to understand that not everything is perfect all of the time, and that’s okay, and no matter what, they’re loved.”

Kyle then noted that she would like privacy during this challenging time.

“It’s weird to have to acknowledge to millions of strangers that you’re having problems … It would be nice to be able to work through issues in your life without everybody watching and weighing in on it,” she explained.

That said, she and her family do feel better now that the divorce rumors have been put to bed.

“Actually, all — our daughters and Mauricio and me — we all felt better after because so many people were speculating and making up stories, and it just was getting out of control,” Kyle admitted.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast is currently filming additional scenes for season 13, which is expected to begin airing on Bravo sometime later this year.
