Kyle Richards clapped back at an Instagram user who accused her of doing “damage control” after sharing a happy photo of herself, her husband Mauricio Umansky, and their daughters on Instagram on Tuesday.
As the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast member attempts to work through her marital issues with Mauricio in private, she was forced to defend her decision to share the image as she also engaged in some friendly banter with the realtor and Buying Beverly Hills star on his Instagram page.
“Can’t put my own book down lol. Who’s read the whole thing?” Mauricio asked his fans and followers on July 11, along with a photo of himself reading The Dealmaker: How to Succeed in Business & Life Through Dedication, Determination & Disruption, which was released in April, while wearing all white in his office.
And after seeing the pic, Kyle, who was accused of failing to “like” and comment on Mauricio’s posts in the months leading up to the reveal of their marital strife, offered a comment.
“I was going to ask you why are you reading your own book again?” she wondered, along with a smiling and squinting emoji.
Then, in response, Mauricio posted a laughing while crying emoji.
Around the same time, Kyle shared a slideshow of photos, including a family pic with Mauricio, Farrah Aldjufrie, Alexia Umansky, Sophia Umasky, and Portia Umansky, at her niece Whitney Davis‘ wedding.
“June,” she wrote in the caption of her post, also including a heart-eyed emoji.
But after sharing the sweet photos, Kyle was met with a harsh comment from one of her followers, who suggested she was on damage control and included a laughing while crying emoji.
“We love ‘damage control’ Kyle,” the person had written.
And clapping back, Kyle stated, “If y’all like to read into every little crumb, read into this,” along with a middle finger emoji.
As RHOBH fans well know, Kyle and Mauricio confirmed in a joint statement on Instagram that they were enduring the most challenging year of their marriage, but they hoped to mend things in private.
“In regards to the news that came out about us today… Any claims regarding us divorcing are untrue. However, yes, we have had a rough year,” they wrote. “The most challenging one of our marriage. But we both love and respect each other tremendously. There has been no wrongdoing on anyone’s part. Although we are in the public eye, we ask to be able to work through our issues privately.”
After initially wrapping in May, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast recently went back into production on season 13 to capture scenes related to the marriage drama between Kyle and Mauricio.
