Kim Zolciak is being sued after failing to pay off the balance of her Target credit card.
As the Real Housewives of Atlanta star and her estranged husband, Kroy Biermann, continue to face financial hardships amid their messy divorce, Kim is not only facing a new lawsuit but also a potential investigation from a family law attorney.
In a June 28 filing obtained by Us Weekly, Kroy requested Diane Woods, who specializes in family law and domestic matters, be appointed as a guardian for their kids, including Kroy “KJ” Jagger, 12, Kash, 10, and twins Kane and Kaia, 9, “so that she may immediately begin her investigation.”
Kroy’s filing comes just days after the former NFL player accused the RHOA cast member of a kidnapping scheme and threatened to file charges against her.
As fans may have heard, Kroy made five calls to the police in four minutes last month. And during one, he said he was “filing kidnapping [charges] for his son going to the rodeo,” claiming the child was “dropped off with a woman named Aleese [sic].”
But according to Elise Humphries, she was allowed to take KJ to the event and defended Kim on social media.
“There was zero kidnapping. I took KJ, one of [my daughter] Alanna’s closest friends, to the Blairsville annual rodeo that he was super excited about,” she wrote on Instagram, labeling Kroy’s claims as “defamatory and slander.”
As for Kim’s past due balance, she is accused of owing $2,482.24 to Target.
According to a report from Page Six last week, Kim, who opened the card in December 2007, stopped paying the bill last year, having made her last payment to the superstore in September 2022 for the amount of $500.
As a court filing revealed, a complaint was filed against Kim on June 28, which noted that TD Bank has taken over the account and is currently in charge of collecting.
The complaint also stated that Kim has “failed, neglected and refused” to pay off the balance.
