Kelly Dodd revealed a moment when her previous husband Michael Dodd “went after” Andy Cohen, and shares what Andy told her afterward.
Her now-husband Rick Leventhal also addressed Andy’s recent shade on Watch What Happens Live, after the host asked Meghan King if she regrets her friendship with Kelly. In the episode – despite their recent online drama – Meghan defended her friendship with the Real Housewives of Orange County alum.
Following the WWHL taping, Kelly shared a story involving Andy and her ex.
“It just seems like [Andy] tries to shame me, that he’s come after me from day one when I first started,” said Kelly on The Rick and Kelly Show. “Michael actually got mad at him, [and] kind of went after him.”
According to Kelly, after the confrontation, Andy “came to me and he’s like, ‘Hey listen, I’m not bullying you.’ He likes to shade people he doesn’t like, and that’s fine. I can handle it.”
Former Fox News reporter Rick, who’s now married to Kelly, addressed Andy’s question to Meghan on WWHL.
“In my opinion, they were hoping that [Meghan] would say … ‘yes, I regret my friendship with Kelly,’ but she didn’t. She defended [her],” said Rick. “He gangs up on you. He’s put you on that show multiple times, and it’s almost always to try and shame you.”
He eventually added, “They need a villain. They need villains and for whatever reason they’ve cast you as one, even though you were the realest housewife. You did bring a lot of heat and humor and beauty and sizzle to that show, and the show is sorely lacking in all of those things now.”
The Real Housewives of Orange County season 17 airs Wednesdays at 8/7c on Bravo.
