Julian Lennon has stated the “bizarre” John Lennon scene in Yesterday ruined the movie for him.

The musician, son of the late Beatle, mirrored on the movie written by Richard Curtis and directed by Danny Boyle which sees John Lennon seem in a single scene.

Within the movie, Lennon is performed by Robert Carlyle and meets Himesh Patel’s Jack within the distant countryside after he’s taken a street journey.

“I truly beloved that movie Yesterday, till they put that bizarre little bit of an impression of what Dad would appear like in his seventies and eighties or no matter, up on a Scottish or Irish island,” Julian Lennon advised Kevin Nealon on Hiking With Kevin.

“It sort of threw the entire movie off for me,” he continued. “I didn’t get [it]. It wasn’t obligatory for me, I don’t assume. And it was simply bizarre.”

In the meantime, earlier this month a porcelain bathroom that when belonged to John Lennon went on show on the Liverpool Beatles Museum.

The bathroom, which as soon as sat at Lennon and Yoko Ono’s dwelling in Berkshire, has a blue and white floral design.

It has been loaned to the museum by a person who paid £1,000 for it at public sale in 1989 after Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan purchased the property and offered its contents.

Museum proprietor Roag Finest, who’s the brother of the Beatles’ authentic drummer Pete, advised BBC News: “The person contacted us, advised us it was simply sitting in his home gathering mud, and requested would we wish to put it on show within the museum?

“We thought, ‘Properly, it’s a bit quirky, it’s not what we’d usually show however who’s to say what you need to and shouldn’t show, so, come on, we’ll give it a go.’”
