Joe Giudice seemingly shaded his former in-laws Melissa and Joe Gorga in a cryptic post about kids remembering “who showed up.” On The Real Housewives of New Jersey, Melissa claimed she and her husband put food on the table for Joe and Teresa Giudice‘s children during her prison sentence and were there for them. Afterward, the daughters came out and said they didn’t remember any of this.
Earlier this year, the two Joes ran into each other in the Bahamas, and Gorga took out his phone to film it. After the interaction, many fans believe Gorga staged the interaction to make himself look good.
In a cryptic post shared on his Instagram Stories, Joe Giudice seemed to throw shade at the couple.
“Kids will always remember who showed up. Not who made a Facebook post,” began the first part of the post, shared by @allabouttrh on Instagram, “or who texted once or twice a year.”
The quote continued, “They will remember who bothered to rearrange their schedule, to make inconvenient choices, and who made them a priority.”
The post seems to be a direct knock against the Gorgas, who continually discuss how they’ve helped other people. On the show, Melissa appears to be painting the Giudices in a negative light, along with the help of her ally Margaret Josephs.
At the beginning of the season, Melissa was outraged by Teresa’s decision not to invite Melissa’s mother, who reportedly had drama with Teresa in the past, to the wedding.
Many fans were confused by Melissa’s anger, considering it’s often customary for a bride to invite whoever she wants to her own wedding.
The Real Housewives of New Jersey airs Tuesday nights at 9 p.m. EST on Bravo.
