Jax Taylor revealed if Tom Schwartz is really dating Jo Wenberg and slammed Tom Sandoval‘s band during an appearance on Heather McDonald‘s podcast on Tuesday.
As he also spoke of Ariana Madix‘s new man, Daniel Wai, and explained how he believes James Kennedy secured his role on Vanderpump Rules, Jax discussed the Toms, admitted to having concerns for James, and shared what he thinks of James’ girlfriend, Ally Lewber.
“I think she’s a sweetheart. I think she’s a beautiful person,” Jax revealed on the May 16 episode of Juicy Scoop. “I’m happy for James. He’s doing really well.”
According to Jax, although he loves James and feels “he’s grown up a lot,” he does worry about how fame may impact the 31-year-old DJ.
“This kind of area that he’s in right now can be dangerous because you get sucked in by the light, [and] you get a little bit of a diva mentality, so you have to be careful where you are right now,” he warned. “It’s a dangerous area to be in when everyone’s liking you, [and] things are going great, because it just takes one little thing for you to fall.”
Looking back at James’ journey on the show, Jax said James, who was added as a full-time cast member for season four, found an “in” with Kristen Doute, who was “vulnerable” at that period of time.
“If you’re looking for a way into the group at that time, Kristen was the most vulnerable one. So you would go through her, date her, sleep with her, do whatever you gotta do because she was so vulnerable. And that’s what he did,” he explained.
As Pump Rules fans prepare for the start of the season 10 reunion, Jax said he’s happy to see Ariana thriving just two months after she learned Sandoval was cheating on her with best friend, Raquel Leviss.
“I love that she’s doing so well, and she’s killing it. She seems so happy with this new guy, who I want to be friends with. He seems like a really cool guy,” Jax shared of Daniel.
He then weighed in on the possibility of Sandoval looking elsewhere due to Ariana’s past claims about not wanting to get married or have kids.
“If Tom didn’t like that, he should’ve left a long time ago,” Jax noted.
According to Jax, who slammed Sandoval’s band, Tom Sandoval & the Most Extras, and his bar, Schwartz & Sandy’s, as “D-list,” he feels bad for Schwartz’s involvement, even though he believes he should’ve told Ariana what he knew of Sandoval and Raquel’s romance.
“It’s a D-list band and a D-list bar,” he stated. “It’s so not fair what he’s doing to Schwartz. [But] Schwartz should’ve said, ‘Hey listen, I’m gonna give you until Wednesday, and I’m gonna say something because not only is this gonna affect our friendship, this is gonna affect our business, our finances.’”
“[Sandoval] put him between a rock and a hard place. And Schwartz is already dealing with enough,” Jax continued. “He’s got three brothers that are struggling with alcoholism. He’s got his dad, that’s in and out of the hospital. He’s got his mother, that lives in South Carolina, and his other family in Florida. I don’t know how he hasn’t had a stroke or a heart attack.”
After noting that Schwartz “is very easily manipulated,” Jax confirmed he is not dating Jo.
“He’s not dating her,” he shared, adding, “She’s weird. She’s like Kristen on crack, circa 2010.”
The three-part Vanderpump Rules season 10 reunion begins next Wednesday, May 24, at 9/8c on Bravo.
