Amid the highly anticipated Vanderpump Rules season 10 reunion, James Kennedy revealed he got so worked up over Tom Sandoval and Raquel Leviss’ affair that he had to put his “fighting boots on.”
As seen in the trailer for the explosive sit-down, James reaches his boiling point and attempts to rush Sandoval. He also threatens the “worm with a mustache” and says that he will “f—k [him] up so quickly” while slamming Raquel as a “backstabbing ho.”
“There was enough for me to get heated about,” James recently explained to E! News at the Vanderpump Dogs Gala on May 18. “I’ve been working a lot on my anger recently, but like, that was just a bit too much. I had to get it out that day. Because if not, when else am I gonna get the chance? You know?”
James explained that he was riled up after rewatching the season 10 finale and it led to his emotions getting the best of him.
“It’s always an experience watching an episode back, I think last night was the cherry on top to the whole season, the saddest cherry I have ever seen,” he told Extra while walking the red carpet at the event. “It was a lot… I had to watch it twice really to grasp it. You know when you watch a movie, there wasn’t tears flowing, but when you feel it, you feel it. I did feel it a few times during the episode for sure. I even got emotional in the episode.”
The cast of Pump Rules has been almost unanimously “Team Ariana” — save Tom Schwartz who’s been straddling the fence between supporting Sandoval and Ariana — after the news broke of Sandoval and Raquel’s months-long affair behind the back of Tom’s ex-partner of nine years, Ariana Madix.
Ariana’s since been living her best life and has moved on romantically with fitness instructor Daniel Wai.
James hasn’t met Daniel yet, but he said, “I see the pictures, and I see her smile ear to ear — that’s all that matters.”
As for where he stands with the rest of the Pump Rules cast, James says he’s still close with all his co-stars — even Schwartz. He added that he thinks the show will be able to successfully continue if Sandoval and Raquel were to exit the series following the backlash.
“It’s definitely going to move along. We are a tight-knit group, all of us… even excluding Tom and Raquel, I still think we are a very tight group… I am definitely as tight as ever with Scheana [Shay], Ariana [Madix], Lala [Kent], so it’s all good for me,” he told the outlet.
“We’re all still friends, I’m still talking to [Tom] Schwartz,” the 31-year-old DJ stated. “Sandoval made a big boo boo and Raquel never really contributed much to the show regardless. So, I’m not doubting the show. I think it’s still gonna be thriving. There’s only one Vanderpump Rules.”
Part two of the Vanderpump Rules season 10 reunion airs Wednesday, May 31, at 9 p.m. EST on Bravo.
