PS5 owners are eligible for a very special treat from Sony and Apple in the form of a free subscription to Apple TV+, Pushsquare reports. If you own a PS5, there’s no reason not to snap up this promotion. Because you’ll be gifted with the ability to stream some of the best original TV and film content on the internet with an Apple TV+ membership. Hit shows like Ted Lasso (which just ended its final season), Silo, Foundation, and numerous others all fall under the Apple TV+ umbrella.

And they’re certainly worth a watch. You do want to pay attention to a few things though. For one, the subscription won’t be free forever. It’s a limited time deal so you’ll need to claim the promotional subscription before the promo ends. You also will eventually need to end up paying for the service if you decide to keep it. The good news is you won’t have to decide right away. As the subscription will be free for six whole months. Yep, half a year. Then you’ll need to cough up $6.99 a month if you want to continue with it.

Still, six months is plenty of time to binge through a lot of great content. The last caveat is that you have to be a new member. This isn’t the first time Sony and Apple brought this promotion to players. And if you claimed the offer the first time, you can’t claim it again as you’ll need to be a new Apple TV+ subscriber.

The free Apple TV+ trial isn’t just for PS5 owners

If you don’t own a PS5 yet, you can still claim this offer. As it’s available for PS4 owners as well. However, the free trial only lasts for three months instead of six. So you don’t get as much time with the service before needing to pay. But you do still get to check it out for a little while at no cost.

And it’s definitely worth it. Either on PS4 or PS5, you have until July 31 to claim the offer. And to get everything set up, all you have to do is download the Apple TV+ app on either console, then start it up and sign in with your Apple ID. If you’ve not had an Apple TV+ membership before, it should give you your free trial.

Also just to clarify, deleting the Apple TV+ app and re-installing it to sign in now that the promotion is back won’t work.
