I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again: I love a good pair of jeans. They’re my go-to for my office day, for a happy hour, a brunch, a meeting, and sometimes even a first date. But with so many denim brands popping up left and right it can be overwhelming when you’re on the hunt for your perfect pair of jeans. Especially when you want a high-quality pair that you know will last for years to come. As a denim lover and editor I’ve tried/tested almost every denim brand you can think of. Some we’re misses, but let’s focus on the hits. I’ve rounded up 6 denim brands that I’d stamp with my seal of approval, and recommend you get a pair from each immediately.
Keep scrolling to see which 6 denim brands I swear by.
Mother
This model/it-girl-loved denim brand has been at the top of the jeans game for years now and I have to say, I get the hype. Known for their comfortable, stretchy fabrics and incredibly flattering shape and silhouette Mother jeans are like my denim secret weapon. The brand is based in Los Angeles and has a 70’s California vibe that I love. They have a wide range of styles and washes making finding your perfect pair that much easier.

Levi’s
It doesn’t get more Americana than a pair of Levi’s jeans. Their iconic back pocket stitching and leather logo have been worn and loved by celebrities, fashion people, and dads alike. They’re maybe the only common item in Kendall Jenner’s closet and also my dad’s. There are so many things to love about a pair of Levi’s but let’s start with the price. Many of my favorite styles are under $100 and you know you’ll wear and love them for years to come. Plus they quite literally look good on everyone.

Nili Lotan
Nili Lotan herself deems a good pair of jeans a wardrobe staple, even saying her uniform is “anything with jeans.” Which you can see in her own line of denim. These are jeans clearly made by someone who wants to live in their denim. The fabrics are soft yet durable, so they’re comfortable but you can tell they’re going to last forever. I’m currently obsessed with their trouser jean, which I know are hanging in the closet of some chic New York city woman as we speak.

Frame
I hate to pick favorites with my jeans but there is a special place in my heart for a pair of Frame jeans. Also if you’re going for the “rich mom” look, you’re definitely going to want to add a pair of Frame jeans to your shopping list. When you step into a pair of Frame jeans you really feel like you’re wearing quality denim. Which is my favorite part. It’s safe to say I have a pep in my step when wearing a pair of Frame jeans.

Khatie
The ultimate pair of jeans for the quiet luxury crowd. The always-selling-out Khatie jeans are a bit on the pricey side but they are so worth it. When you think about how long you’ll have them and how many times you’ll wear them, they pay for themselves (or at least that’s what I’m telling myself.) The internet seems particularly obsessed with the brand’s “Danielle” jeans. While I haven’t tried the “Danielle” I have tried the “Vivian” and wearing those was definitely a luxury denim experience.

AG Denim
AG jeans are what I call “old faithful.” They never let me down. They always have a wash I’m needing, they fit like a dream, and I’m always getting complimented when I’m wearing a pair of AG jeans. With an emphasis on sustainability this classic California denim brand never fails me.
